Will Esch is a bass from Stillwater, MN. Most recently he made his international debut in Berlin playing ‘Il Commendatore’ in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, as well as ‘Reverend John Hale’ in Robert Ward’s The Crucible. Since moving to New York City, Mr. Esch has worked with Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble singing ‘Il Commendatore’ in Don Giovanni and ‘Sylvano’ in Francesco Cavalli’s La Calisto. In mainstage productions, he covered the ‘Badger/Parson’ and the ‘Poacher’ in The Cunning Little Vixen by Leoš Janáček, and presented scenes from Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Salieri’s Falstaff playing ‘Osmin’ and ‘Bardolfo’ respectively. He has sung ‘Sparafucile’ with SingThrough Central’s Rigoletto, and ‘Sarastro’ with New York Lyric Opera Theater (NYLOT). Mr. Esch debuted ‘Sparafucile’ in the Really Spicy Opera’s production of Rigoletto. Will Esch earned a degree in Music Education from St. Olaf College. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
