Andrew Sun is currently Executive Assistant to the President of Minnesota Opera after serving as a Resident Artist coach and répétiteur with the same company for two seasons. A sought-after collaborative pianist, Andrew has also worked with the Berkshire Opera Festival, the Manhattan School of Music, the Merola Opera Program, and the Music Academy of the West. Andrew was named winner of the 2018 Marilyn Horne Song Competition along with Kelsey Lauritano. Their recital tour included performances in New York City, Chicago, and London. Other career highlights include performing on Carnegie Hall’s Neighborhood Concerts series, participating in “The Song Continues,” led by Marilyn Horne, and performing the radio premiere of the newly-discovered Albumblatt by Johannes Brahms. Andrew holds a master's degree from New York University and a Professional Studies Certificate from Manhattan School of Music. He currently lives in Minneapolis with his boyfriend, Jess, and their two cats.
